This is an early 20th century (c.1900) Edwardian walnut pedestal writing desk. The desk has the normal configuration of two pedestals, each fitted with three graduated drawers. The top section is fitted with a further three drawers. The pedestals each stand on plinth bases, with castors below. The drawer fronts have a raised 'fielded' panel to each of the drawers and are fitted with later replacement brass swan neck handles. The top section is fitted with a dark green leather writing surface that is edged with gilt embossing. The desk is fitted with a key. The desk is in good condition throughout with only minor marks commensurate with age and usage.
