Catalogue No. 1630
This is an early 19th century mahogany tea caddy (c1820). The tea caddy has ebony and boxwood line decoration to the top and is fitted internally with two mahogany lidded tea canisters and a central section that would have originally held a mixing bowl. Altogether a well made clean piece, displaying quality construction, an example of which is the dovetail joints to the tea canisters.
