This is a mid 20th century (c.1930) Georgian style mahogany pedestal desk. The desk consists of the normal arrangement of two pedestals and a separate top. The left hand pedestal is fitted with three drawers. The right hand pedestal has two drawers with the lower one being double depth (filing drawer) with a two drawer dummy facing. The top section is fitted with a further three drawers and is fitted with a key. The top has a green and gold tooled leather writing surface. The desk is in good clean condition throughout. There is a minor impressed mark with slightly darker surrounding colouring to a small area of the leather and a couple of old repairs to the lower portion of the plinth bases. The drawers are very clean. This desk has a good depth and could potentially be used as a partners desk.
