This is an early 20th century (c.1910) mahogany linen press. The lower section stands on shaped bracket feet and is fitted with two long drawers and two short drawers. The drawer fronts have a narrow boxwood line inlay and are edged with boxwood stringing. The drawers are fitted with rectangular brass handles. The upper section has a pair of panelled doors that are decorated with matching bandings to the drawers and also have a black and white able inlay oval to the panel. The doors open to reveal four sliding trays (the firth/bottom tray is now missing) to hold linen or folded clothes. Fitted with a key. The linen press is of very good quality and is in good overall condition, with only a few minor marks commensurate with age and usage.
