This is an early 20th century (c.1900) mahogany envelope card table. The table is constructed in the Rococo revival style, having square cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving to the knees and terminating with stylised claw and ball feet. the table is fitted with a small drawer. The top swivels and opens to reveal the original baize playing surface, that is edged with embossed leather. The top also has wells for playing counters or coins. The table is constructed of fine quality mahogany through-out and is a good rich colour.
