This is a late 19th century (c.1880) mahogany pedestal desk of small proportions. The desk has the usual configuration consisting of two separate pedestals and a top section, forming a kneehole. The desk is constructed from good quality mahogany throughout. The drawers retain their original turned knobs and the top has it's original leather writing surface. The desk is freestanding, looking good from all angles, with the rear of the pedestals having a single panel. The desk is very clean throughout, with just a few age related marks through usage, commensurate with it's age.
Internal size of knee-hole: H62cm x W46cm.
