Catalogue No. 1244
This is an early 19th century Georgian (c.1820) mahogany chest of two short and three long drawers. The chest of drawers stands on shaped bracket feet. The drawers are fitted with replacement oval brass handles. The chest is a good colour and is in clean condition throughout with some small minor repairs to the rails. The sides have minor shrinkage to each end and there is a small shrinkage split to the left side of the top, commensurate with age. The drawer bottoms, which were originally covered with blue lining paper, have now been sympathetically relined.
