Catalogue No. 1981
This is a late 18th century (c.1780) mahogany chest of three short and three long drawers. The chest stands on shaped racket feet. The drawer linings are constructed in oak, with solid mahogany drawer fronts, that retain their original brass swan neck handles. The central top drawer is fitted with a key. The chest exhibits a warm mellow colour and is of excellent quality throughout with a few minor blemishes, commensurate with age and usage.
