Catalogue No. 1953
This is a late 18th century (c.1780) Georgian mahogany chest of two short and three long drawers. The chest stands on it's original shaped bracket feet. The drawer linings are all very clean and the drawer fronts retain their original brass swan neck handles. The top is constructed using a cut of mahogany showing the grain to be mottled. This is often referred to as 'plum pudding' mahogany. The chest is in excellent condition with no damage and displays a warm rich colour.
