This is a late 18th century (c.1780) mahogany chest of two short and three long drawers. The chest stands on shaped bracket feet. The drawer fronts are edged with a boxwood stringing inlay and are fitted with replacement plate handles (of the period). The chest is of good proportions and a warm mellow colour. It is in good clean condition with a only a few small age related marks, commensurate with age and usage.
