Catalogue No. 2001
This is a mid 19th century (c.1870) mahogany chest of four long drawers. The chest stands on a plinth base, terminating with flat bun feet. The drawer fronts exhibit a nicely figures mahogany and retain their original turned mahogany knob handles. The chest offers great storage, having the advantage of the extra deep bottom drawer (often called a hat drawer) - see photos. The chest in in excellent condition throughout with only very minor marks commensurate with age and usage.
