Catalogue No. 1942
This is a late 18th century (c.1790) Georgian mahogany chest of two short and three long drawers. The chest stands on shaped bracket feet. The drawers are fitted with replacement pierced brass plate handles and escutcheons. The chest is in good clean condition throughout with a couple of old repairs to the rails between the drawers. There are small faint shadow marks on the drawer fronts where the original handles were fitted. A good clean useful chest displaying a nice patina and warm colour.
