Catalogue No. 1564
This is an early 19th century chest of two short and three long drawers, standing on sheraton style feet. There is an ebonized line inlay to the leading edge of the top and to the frieze rail. The drawer linings are constructed with oak sides and pine bottoms (this is quite a common practice as the drawer bottoms were very often covered with lining paper). The chest of drawers is fitted with oval brass handles. A very nice small but practical chest, ideal for spare/guest room.
