This is a mid 19th century (c.1860) mahogany card table. The table stands on a platform base that has a central turned column. The base is supported with four swept legs that terminate with brass lion paw castors. The front rail of the table is decorated with a carved central motif and carved scrolls to each end. The top swivels 90 degrees and opens to reveal a compartment for cards etc. The playing surface is lined with green baize. The table is in good clean condition with a few small old repairs around the base, commensurate with age and usage.
