This is a mid 18th century (c.1770) mahogany bureau. The bureau stands on shaped bracket feet and is fitted with four long graduated oak lined drawers that are fitted with brass plate handles and escutcheons. The fall opens to reveal a fitted interior with a central cupboard around which is an arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes. The fall is fitted with a key. The bureau is of excellent quality mahogany, displaying a superb grain, with no damage or scratches.
