Catalogue No. 2062
This is an early 19th century (c.1820) Regency mahogany bow fronted chest of drawers of excellent quality. The chest stands on turned feet and is decorated with split turned pilasters to each side, both having a reeded moulded central section. The chest is fitted with the normal configuration of two small drawers with three long drawers below. The drawers retain their original brass ring handles. The handles are shaped as scallop shells with traces of the original gilding. The chest is in superb condition and totally original throughout. The colour is rich and there are only a few minor marks and blemishes, commensurate with age and usage. The chest offers plenty of practical storage.
