Catalogue No. 1537
This is an early 19th century (c.1820) mahogany bow fronted chest of two short and three long drawers. The chest stands on elongated splayed feet with a shaped apron, which is decorated with a satinwood banding. The drawers ave a line inlay to the drawer fronts and are fitted with later brass oval plate handles. The leading edge of the top has an ebonised stringing, as does the top itself.
A good clean and well proportioned chest. Small old repairs where locks and escutcheons were originally placed.
