This is an early 19th century (c.1830) mahogany and rosewood needlework table. The table stands on a square moulded pedestal stem with a rectangular scalloped base that terminates with four shaped feet. The top is cross-banded in rosewood. The table has a dummy drawer front. The top lifts to reveal a partitioned tray for cottons, silks etc. and a pleated bag for wool etc. The table is fitted with a key. The table is constructed in high quality mahogany and is in excellent condition through-out.
