This is a late 19th century (c1881) elm and leather blacksmiths forge bellows, manufactured by William Alldays of Alldays & Onions, Sole Makers, Birmingham, England. The company lately went on to making bicycles, motorbikes and early motor cars before the First World War. The bellows are in good working condition, retaining evidence of the original makers stamp and prizes awarded at exhibitions in Australia. The bellows sit on a detachable oak three legged stand. They are very sturdy and heavy.
